Celebrating our nation’s 250th Independence Day will be a once-in-a-lifetime event. We at Daystar wish everyone a fun and safe time of celebration!
Our July issue of Healthy Life News highlights a Home Fire Safety Guide. It brings to mind some close calls we’ve experienced over the years. One involved a neighbor’s stray firework in a wooded field between us several years ago. They finished shooting off their fireworks and went inside. One of our kids spotted a small fire in the field afterward, which spurred us into action. We got the water hose over there in time to put it out.
Several years later, we attended a friend’s July 4th party with an impressive fireworks display. About an hour after the party, we spotted a fire on their dock. We hurried over and helped put it out.
Many of us may have similar stories to tell, so we hope this month’s issue will be a good reminder for home safety. Have fun, and stay safe!
